Cyclical

The child he must laugh,

As the man tries to fly,

Or else in the falling,

The child will fall too.

Oh, we look at the world,

And we find in surprise,

That the once broken wings,

Must now work or we die.

Yes we find to our cost,

As old patterns emerge,

That the once broken wings,

Tear us down to the earth.

So the child he must laugh,

As the man tries to fly,

Or else in the falling,

The child must fall too.

Yes the man and the child,

Are the circle unbroken,

Innocence and remorse,

Are the secrets they know.

So the one brings us joy,

While the other must die,

Are we really condemned,

To repeat all we learned?

So the child he must laugh,

While the man fails to fly,

And in falling once more,

So the child he dies.
