Empty Rooms

Do not mourn us,

You cannot understand.

We who were meant,

Yet were not fathers.

The ones who’s time,

Or circumstance,

Was never right,

Yet always felt,

That little hand not there.

We are not jealous,

Simply smile and watch,

The happy ones,

Those who were blessed.

Our worlds, they are not made,

Simply of bricks and mortar.

No, there are rooms left bare,

Empty in heart chambers.
